A Sample PBLT Task for Students

Age group: 14+

Language Level: Pre-intermediate/intermediate

Date: xx/yy/abcd

Objective: To prepare students to present a video report describing their favourite celebrity.

Marks: 10

Requirements: 1) 3-5 minutes MP4 file. 2) A group of 3

Instructions: 

 1) Think of a celebrity you like/dislike most and decide your celebrity for the project in a group of 3.

2) Make a plan and prepare the structure of your report. Make a leader. Distribute the works among yourselves.

3) Research on him/her from reliable magazines, newspapers and social media resources.

4) Organise the resources.

5) Prepare your script if you need it.

6) Record your project.

7) Edit it if needed.

 NB: You can present in a group of 3 or 2 or 1.

 Tools:

 1) Online: google.com, facebook.com, youtbe.com, instagram.com, twitter.com, Wikipedia

2) Photo editing: canva.com, remove.bg, Microsoft Photo Manager, Microsoft Photo Editor, Adobe Photoshop

3) Presentation:  Microsoft Powerpoint, Google Slides (Free templates: slidesgo.com)

3) Video/Audio recording/editing: OBS Studio, Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Video Editor

4) Video shot: Mobile/Camera (Not mandatory)

NB: Use tools whatever useful for your project.

 Submission:

First Submission: Prepare the project within 7 days and submit it.

Final Submission: Follow the teacher's feedback and resubmit it within 7 days after getting feedback.

 NB: Use google drive to upload your project and add your teacher there that he/she can see the file to give you feedback.
